Coach, Counsellor, Trainer, Mentor – I’m here for you

Hi my name’s Sam. From my early teenage years, I have been curious about the way people think and behave. This interest in psychology led in my 20’s to me studying creative arts therapies (drama therapy, play therapy etc.) and I quickly progressed to undertaking counselling courses finally training to be a Gestalt psychotherapist aged 25.

Interested in ‘group work’ in my 30’s, I set up a successful company utilising my experience and ‘whole systems’ techniques. I designed and ran hundreds of Visioning events, transforming individuals, teams, partnerships, organisations, and 100’s of communities.

After having twins (and a bit of a break), in my 40’s I worked to build partnerships for physical and community regeneration and designed and ran Leadership Courses. This is where my interest with the discoveries of neuroscience really became a passion.and I became a practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Most recently, I have been studying positive psychology.

Through all of this, I endured the loss of my husband, I learned to be a single parent of teenagers, I battled and won the fight for my life against stage 3 breast cancer and I learned to practice what I preach. I know first-hand about finding resilience, positivity and meaning in the face of grief, adversity, and potential loss of life. I believe we are here to learn and I have learned a lot.

Self Savvy is the culmination of my learnings to date, packaged in easily accessed and understood information, with the opportunity to not only learn the theory but to; experiment, take-action and find out what works best for you.

The truth is that Self Savvy is not about me. I can bring my skills, expertise, and experience to the table. I can bring my commitment, passion and understanding. I can offer maps and signposts. I can walk with you, and be your guide through the territory. In the end though, it is all is about you; your issues, your potential, your challenges, your journey, and your decision to become Self Savvy. I look forward to working with you.

Together we can unlock all of that potential

Self Savvy brings skills and knowledge from a mixture of therapies and models and is therefore not affiliated to any one process or school of thought; this can enable more; creative, flexible, rich, and personally tailored opportunities for you to draw upon and use to your advantage.
